According to a U.S. patent report from Nanjing Hua Xun, Apple's patent entitled "Electronic Device with Display and Touch Sensor Structure" was exposed, which shows that the iPhone 8 will use an OLED curved screen and its function is likely to be consistent with the Samsung Galaxy edge series.
In the patent diagram, Apple elaborated on the functions that the curved screen can realize. In addition to displaying application information, it can also be used as virtual keys, such as volume keys, photo keys, and even shortcut keys for some applications, which are more convenient in operation. However, it should be noted that although Samsung Galaxy edge also uses a curved screen design, the aesthetic effect will be higher than the practical value. I wonder if Apple will make any breakthrough in the function of the curved screen.
