Nanjing Hua News: In November 2016, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office released a patent application for a new holographic technology submitted by Samsung, indicating that Samsung is now building holographic technology into the core technology of the next generation of TV products.
Unlike the movie theater's hottest IMAX 3D blockbuster, the test of 3D technology in the TV field has never received a good response. Although there are many TV brands that support 3D technology in the market, this is obviously not the mainstream selling point. After all, compared with going to cinemas to enjoy 3D blockbusters, watching movies at home wearing 3D glasses is both tiring and boring.
If Samsung's technology is applied to the TV field, it will be different from the previous 3D TV, because holographic TV belongs to the "naked eye 3D" technology category.
In fact, the industry has been working hard on the naked-eye 3D visual experience for several years. Although the date when Samsung Holographic TV will be put on the market is still unknown, it is still worth looking forward. After all, Apple has repeatedly hinted over the years that they want to make a revolutionary TV product. Cook also talked about the possible future development direction of Apple TV on the Charlie Rose talk show in 2013 and 2014. Let's see if Samsung can catch up with Apple in this round of races.
