On October 24, Nanjing Hua Xun News A new Microsoft patent recently shows that the company is exploring the link interaction between multiple Surface tablet computers, which can be linked together through dual-connector keyboard connectors for more data transmission or functional operations, and is expected to be applied on Surface Pro 5 as soon as possible.

Microsoft Patent Description:
Although many users have been exposed to a large number of computing devices at present, they still operate in these individual computing devices using traditional interaction methods. Therefore, the technology itself supports physical and communication connections between computer devices. For example, mobile computer devices, including tablet computers and smart phones, can be used as tablet factors, and connected devices can be used as physical and communication coupling factors between these devices, thus enabling the devices to be used together, such as expanding the display area, sharing processor and memory resources, and so on.
Microsoft said that the communication between the two tablets can be through wireless or physical linker, and the tablets can be automatically configured and adjusted to achieve the best state of sharing resources.
In addition to connecting two Surface tablets, Microsoft can also use the technology to connect other devices.

Although Microsoft's music player ZUNE appears in the above picture, the patent application date is June 23, 2016, which also shows that Microsoft is actively exploring innovative ideas. Microsoft hopes to bring more practical value uses to Surface tablets, and a two-sided Surface keyboard linker is a major driver of the project.
