Nanjing Hua News: South Korea's Samsung Electronics Samsung Display (Samsung Display) has applied for registration of a foldable screen patent in the United States, or indicates that Samsung will launch a foldable smartphone in the near future. According to the news, Samsung Display applied to the U.S. Patent Office for a patent on the 27th of last month. The technology allows the organic light-emitting diode display (OLED) to be folded inward.
The two companies have registered 30 patents for similar technologies with the US Patent Office, 14 of which were registered this year.
