According to Nanjing Huaxun, iBoat is not a ship, but a wireless mobile device that allows users to direct and monitor the operation of the ship through a touchable screen. Jobs' vision was that the iBoat could control the air conditioning system in every room on the yacht, and even the rudder of the yacht, with the movement of a finger.
Equipped with multiple sensors, iBoat can collect environmental information such as water depth, wind direction and speed. It can also provide real-time information about the ship and play a role in monitoring the health of the ship. Once a system failure is found, remote control will be suspended. The iBoat can also remotely control the rudder from the sun position on the deck.
Jobs had been obsessed with the construction of the luxury yacht Venus for several months before his death. The Venus, which cost 0.11 billion euros, was successfully tested for the first time in 2012. Philip Stark, a well-known designer in charge of the interior design of the luxury yacht, once recalled that at the beginning of the design, Jobs put forward three requirements: first, the hull must be 82 meters long; second, there are only six rooms on the ship; and third and most importantly, the internal environment must be quiet.
Jobs asked that the children's room be at the front of the yacht and his own be at the rear, Stark said. He is almost demanding of quiet, and the children, pet dogs and even his wife do not make any noise in the house.
