American Time 2019From May 15 to May 17, 2002, the spring conference of the All-American Intellectual Property Law Association was held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Hou Qingchen, General Manager of Nanjing Huaxun Intellectual Property, was invited to attend the conference as a member of the association on behalf of Nanjing Huaxun Intellectual Property Consulting Co., Ltd.

All American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA)) Founded in 1897, it is composed of lawyers from academia, government agencies, enterprises and institutions, and individuals. Its members are mainly engaged in the field of intellectual property law such as patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets and unfair competition law. ALPLA aims to help promote the improvement and development of IP-related laws based on a high standard of professional ethics, to assist the courts in the appropriate interpretation of IP-related laws, and to provide the public and members of the Association with the dissemination and training of IP-related laws.

General Manager Hou Qingchen is a Ph.D. in intellectual property from Peking University Law School, and also holds a master's degree in law from National Taiwan University, a master's degree in business from National Chengchi University and a master's degree in law from the University of Pennsylvania in the United States. He has worked in Taiwan Smart Law Firm and internationally renowned law firm Baker& Mckenzie. He has a license for a Taiwanese lawyer, a patent practitioner in Taiwan, and a lawyer in the State of New York, and has 19 years of professional experience in transnational intellectual property rights. He is familiar with the laws of Taiwan, the United States and the Mainland, and is familiar with the industrial operations of Taiwan, the Mainland, and overseas.

The purpose of ECON's participation in this conference is not only to understand the current situation and development of the U.S. patent system and patent market, but also to introduce China's intellectual property protection system and cases to U.S. companies and patent agencies, so that more foreign counterparts can understand China The intellectual property system and patent market promote communication and understanding among multiple parties on intellectual property protection, aiming to build "China and the world, market and technology" bridge.
