On November 18, 2021, Dr. Qingchen Hou was invited to give an academic report on the legal writing competition of the Law School of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.
Dr. Hou shared the theme of "Comparison of American Law and Civil Law, and Sharing of American Experience in Studying and Employment".
At the event, Dr. Hou first introduced himself in the form of "four roles.
This is followed by a shared focus: legal writing. And from the purpose of legal writing, core, entry point, East-West comparison and other directions, carried out in-depth and simple explanation, guide the teachers and students present to carry out meaningful thinking together. Dr. Hou also gave an effective solution to the practical problem of how to learn English legal writing: learning from reading judgments. At the end of this part, Dr. Hou also shared a little feeling about the civil law and the American law from the perspective of comparison.
Finally, Dr. Hou combined his own experience and unreservedly shared the "American study and employment experience", which provided many students with valuable future guidance.
